School uniform is worn by all children attending St Barnabas and St Philip’s CE Primary school because we believe that a smart School Uniform helps increase children’s sense of identity and pride in their School.  Parental co-operation is an invaluable source of support.  Extremes of fashion in shoes, clothing and hairstyles will not be permitted within the school.

The children wear a uniform, which is grey and red.  All their clothes should be clearly marked, preferably with name tapes.

Summer uniform may be worn from the beginning of the Summer Term until the Autumn Half-Term

Reception, Year 1 and Year 2

Year 3 to Year 6

Coats/Outerwear

✔ School coat or red reversible fleece with logo. 

✔ Alternatively, we would ask that children wear plain grey coats or jackets or a plain red jacket.

✔ A plain red or grey puffa jacket or fleece would also be acceptable.

✔ Plain red or grey gloves, scarf, red beanie with logo or plain knitted hat may be worn in winter.

Footwear

Black flat school shoes must be worn.  For Health and Safety reasons, ballet pumps, shoes with heels, open toes and backs are not permitted. Shoes fastened with laces or a T-bar across the foot is essential.

Jewellery

With the exception of watches, the wearing of jewellery is not permitted within the school for Health and Safety reasons.

For children with pierced ears, plain stud earrings must only be used.
